This Japanese lantern is made of concrete and earthenware in the so-called dry casting process. Very little liquid is used in the process, which gives the lantern its characteristic rough surface that resembles that of a natural stone. After the usual steps of the casting process, the contours of the garden lantern are reworked and finished by hand. All sculptures made of moulded stone are absolutely frost-proof and can be used outdoors all year round.
