The relatively soft and rather light material is used for the construction of musical instruments. The tropical wood belongs to the acacia family, but is not an endangered or protected species.

Care tip: Suar wood tends to crack when humidity is variable. Optimally this would be 50-60%. Underfloor heating and placing next to a radiator can increase cracking.
